Likeable Kode wins well

23rd August 2023

Kevin Ryan has been training Hambleton Racing’s owners two-year-old winners for nigh on 20 years and had our owners in the winners’ enclosure again at Catterick on Monday.

Hambleton’s very first horses in training were based with Kevin and with his support we have steadily progressed to provide winners for so many of our owners over the years.

Our latest winner together was the likeable Crack The Kode, a progressive type who was very well supported by his owners at Catterick as he lined up in the six-furlong nursery after a good run at Pontefract.

Despite a poor draw, Tom Eaves soon had Crack The Kode well positioned and when Tom asked his mount to pick up, he soon put his seal on the race in eye-catching fashion.

Crack The Kode received a well-deserved warm welcome from his horse racing syndicate as he came back into the winners’ enclosure after recording his first success for his delighted owners.

The son of Kodi Bear is improving with his racing and given the way he travelled and quickened here it doesn’t take a great leap of faith to think he’ll be very competitive again wherever he goes next.

It’s great to enjoy another winning two-year-old winner with Kevin and we look forward to seeing where Kevin points Crack The Kode next as he bids to build on this first impressive win.

Kevin’s patience and skill in handling this young horse has been impressive and his horse racing syndicate are now bearing the fruit.

We look forward to Crack The Kode’s next start, which is unlikely to be far away!
