Tempus Horse Racing Syndicate Doha

Living the dream with Tempus

17th February 2023

Racehorse ownership is all about living the racing dream. That means something different to everyone but it’s fair to say the owners of Tempus have embarked on a pretty special journey with their horse.

A 25,000gns recruit from the horses in training sales in August 2021, the regally bred son of Kingman has not looked back since making a winning debut for Archie Watson last January and is all set to line up in the Group 2 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cup at Doha on Saturday morning, a race worth a cool £237,479 to the winner.

His horse racing syndicate have enjoyed a tremendous ride with their pride and joy so far, running well at Royal Ascot before progressing to win a big handicap at Ascot and two Group 3s last summer.

The plan to target Saturday’s valuable race has been in place for some time which has enabled many of the owners of Tempus to journey over to Doha to see him in action.

Occasions such as these are all about making memories and those owners who’ve ventured over to see their star race have enjoyed watching their horse train at the track as Archie’s expert team put the finishing touches to his preparations.

For his part, Tempus is said to be loving all the attention and extra carrots, and even made time for a photo shoot with his owners on the eve of the big race.

Win, lose or draw being involved with such a high class horse is the stuff of dreams for many and we’re delighted to see our owners enjoying the sunshine and exciting build up to Saturday’s Group 2 prize.

Racing in Doha has been very lucky for us so far with both Maystar and Outbox coming home in front to give their owners a special thrill, and of course a handsome prize money pay out too.

Aside the great prize money and weather, owners are very well looked after by the racecourse and can expect a day at the races to remember on Saturday.

With such great prize money on offer Tempus will face no easy task on Saturday with the likes of Aidan O’Brien’s Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Order Of Australia leading the contenders for the valuable prize, but without doubt he fully merits his place in the field.

Trained brilliantly to date by Archie Watson, Tempus will be bidding to write another chapter in his success story. Here’s hoping for a great run and a day to remember for his owners!

His horse racing syndicate are certainly living the racing dream with him and can hopefully enjoy many more memorable days this year with their top-class racehorse.
