Tempus racehorse syndicate 2023

Living the racing dream

27th June 2023

It’s the biggest meeting of the year and one where everyone wants to be involved, living the racing dream at Royal Ascot.

Last week we were delighted to provide three Hambleton syndicates with the chance to rub shoulders with the great and the good at Royal Ascot as their horses raced on the biggest stage of all.

The horses in action for Hambleton’s owners were all acquired on a sensible budget, with this year’s Ripon winner Aaddeey costing 35,000gns, this year’s Leicester winner Tylos 25,000gns and last year’s two-time Group 3 winner Tempus, 25,000gns.

As ever with Hambleton there was no cost passed on to our owners for their Owner and Trainer badges and every owner wishing to attend Royal Ascot was accommodated.

The owners who joined us to race at Royal Ascot looked fantastic and it was wonderful to see so many of our horse racing syndicate owners in the paddock at a meeting where everyone seems to go the extra mile in terms of attire.

The horses were equally well prepared by their hard-working stable staff and looked outstanding in the Ascot sunshine as they paraded in front of the packed stands and world’s media.

As some of the best horses in the world took centre stage celebrities and the beautifully dressed were seemingly everywhere at a special meeting which seems to excite like no other.

With the weather brilliant and the star-studded racing providing great stories and results like Frankie Dettori’s Gold Cup winner and the opening Group 1 win of Triple Time for Kevin Ryan in the Queen Anne, this was once again a very special event to be part of.

There were also a trio of winners for Hambleton Racing trainer Archie Watson, which put him right on the heels of the powerhouse Gosden and O’Brien stables, a staggering achievement which once again emphasised the immense training talent of Archie.

Our runners were unable to prevail on this occasion but nevertheless provided their owners with some very special memories and fun on days to remember with both Tempus and Tylos running notably big races, hitting the front near the final furlong in their respective big-field handicaps before having to give best in the closing stages.

It was brilliant to see so many of our owners racing at Ascot, living the racing dream. We’d like to thank everyone who’s been in touch to pass on their appreciation for efforts with arrangements. Here’s hoping we can field an even bigger team next year!
