Super-tough May wins again
19th July 2023
They don’t make racehorses much tougher than May Blossom, who was winning again at Nottingham last night.
The daughter of Mayson was recording a sixth win for her owners under Danny Tudhope, who has now been in the saddle for three of those successes.
May Blossom is a real character and a very popular horse in the yard. Hard as nails – this was the four-year-old’s 36th start for her horse racing syndicate – May just thrives on her racing and has won races in every season she has raced.
She always gives her all and pulls out well after her races, she really is as tough as they come.
May likes to come with a rattle at the end of her races and did exactly that here, coming from an unpromising position early on to storm home under Danny to get on top in the shadows of the post.
It was great to see the super-tough May Blossom win again. The win signals that May is now back in top form and this workaholic should still be competitively weighted once reassessed by the handicapper.
With that in mind, there must be very chance she can build further on her impressive career statistics in the coming weeks and months. She’ll doubtless be out and racing again soon!
